Automated Batch Picking Cart

Lightning Pick Cart based applications are designed to optimize batch picking operations by reducing walking/travel time, improve pick rates and increase order accuracy. The combination of Colorful “Heads Up” display to lead the employee to the next pick location and put indicator lights to show where product should be placed make the solution easy to understand and quick to use.

The basic Cart hardware set includes an industrial display computer with color LCD screen, Voice directed prompts of operator directives, bar code scanner for item/location scanning, and 8 lighted order positions and a rechargeable mobile power pack. Many variations can be accommodated in number of order positions and box sizes. We can suggest a cart design or retrofit the cart you are currently using.

Our batch optimizing software chooses the combination of orders based on Cart start location and can even add orders to a moving Cart through our “Perpetual Batch” option. The system maintains communications with the Lightning Pick server through the existing plant wireless LAN network.

Carts can be used as a stand-alone implementation or in concert with other Lightning Pick Pick-to-Light applications
