Lightning Pick Technologies’ LP Kitting solution supports Lean manufacturing processes by decreasing process variation and reducing errors/defects.
The solution delivers improved performance, a vast improvement in profits, employee morale and product quality. LP Kitting is a proven way of optimizing error proofing, parts picking, line assembly and kitting processes.
The light-directed methodology is an effective poka-yoke (error proofing) device for improving quality by directing operators to the correct part required for the active order or build.
With LP Kitting, manufacturers can improve yields and productivity while reducing re-work, downtime and defect costs associated with errors.
LP Kitting can be fully integrated into ERP, MRP or WMS systems. The system is also offered as a stand alone, PC based solution in which simple kits, Bills of Material, or recipes can be entered, maintained and used to control light-directed picking.
