Downloaded Orders — All orders downloaded from the business system can be reviewed, reprioritized, or deleted prior to release. Release of work to the line can be automatic or user directed. The Lightning Pick sorting function allows the user to group orders together and release them all with the click of a mouse.
Work Zone Planning — Lightning Pick has been designed to be flexible to accommodate line-staffing changes at any time. Divide your lines into any number of work plans, whatever your staffing requires, for a day or shift.Work plans are created by using “drag and drop” to add or subtract bays.
Orders In Progress — Once an order has been released its status can be viewed from the screen. A detailed view of all items in a selected order is shown in the lower right panel. The supervisor can view the picker ID as well as time and quantity picked.
Increased Visibility - Lightning Pick can help you better manage your facility by providing up to the minute data about picking operations. The Overview screens show the status of each area, zone, or picker who is working, and how they are doing.
Demand Planning allows the user to see in advance the effect that pending orders will have on the operation. The system suggests staffing levels in each area. Bar charts show the anticipated load in zones relative to the users intended completion time. A red bar highlights problem areas requiring attention.
Production Overview takes over where Demand Planning leaves off. Give the system a starting point and watch as it monitors the progress of all pick areas towards the goal. Zone pick rates are automatically updated in real time. The system tracks a projected completion time. As with demand planning, bar charts show progress related to other areas and allow you to immediately spot bottlenecks. At any time print off a snapshot on any network connected black and white or color printer.
